Importing Models

I have 2 models which works separately fine.

I imported them in one file. In fact an upper part and a bottom part (two assemblies).

Alo this model runs.

However when I perform a FEM Transport which takes 15min for only rotating the upper part, the model crashes afterwards on FEM qualtity!

What can be the reason for this?

Thanks in advance. Now it is really urgent.

I can not think why a rotation transformation would affect quality unless you were doing an axisymmetric model and moved it into negative R orientation. Is there not some element number given for the bad element and you can then show the before and after transform shapes to understand the change? Maybe it is property related or MPC related?

I am trying to figure it out.

Like I said the model without rotation works. Also the model with 45 degrees rotation works, but the model with 90 degrees and -90 degrees rotation are not working.

on my machine and the modest models I build - no.

more details on number of objects in db required.

also are you doing a FEM transform or a Group transform move or Group transform copy and which sub options.

The bdf is 190mb. During the transformation I also checked the processor and memory and they are only used for 10%.

The utilities / fem-general / quick count and write the output to a file, you could use to post some stats on the number of entities.

regarding % usage - it can be misleading if the % is based on a total of all cores versus, a single thread execution is going to show a low percent.
