I am doing a 42 piece run for the customer and they have wanted a capability study. But the cpk of what they want is 1.33 I am scoring lower then that. Cp is able to do the process? Would like some guidance here. Thanks.
first thing you need to look at if I am looking at this correctly is the .0003-.0004 Range
that is almost 50 % of your tolerance range.

The full range is .0006. With the highest and lowest data being represented only a single time each. .0004 range is doable on a .001 band. Not optimal, but doable.
^this. GR&R comes before the capability study. If you haven't already, get the gut check on your measurement method first, determine if it is suitable or what needs to be improved, then proceed.
