Mac or pc

Hey just wondering what the dfference is. which is which and how are they different. I don't pay much attention to tech stuff

  • In general Apple has the advantage in graphic arts (e.g. photo editing), computer aided animation, education, a few others. There's a false sense of security that they don't get viruses - they do, but not at the rate of PCs. They tend to be more expensive. They also have good integration into education, schools and universities tend to use them more.

    PCs are far more ubiquitous and multisourced. They are more widely deployed in business, so more business software is written for it. There are vastly more hardware options, though that also gives more opportunity for instability and crashing. They can be much less expensive, or much more expensive.

    These are sweeping generalities, what you would use it for is the determining factor.
