Boy I miss PCDMIS.

Team, I promise I will NEVER say anything bad about PCDMIS again in my life..... I started working with MCOSMOS and boy it sucks, BIG TIME...... No line editing, you have to jump out of a program to go into the editor...... THEN the edits do not take effect until you RERUN the fricken part in another program. Then finally you can go back into learn mode......... And that is just the start.

If I did not like working here so much....... I would be looking for a full time PCDMIS job like NOW......

The only ray of hope here is ... They are talking about switching my CMM over to Calypso..... Any ex calypso users out there ? Would you go back if you could.... ? Which one software do you prefer..... ?

Not to knock on Calypso at all. ( I have very limited exposure ) You have a hexagon Machine ? In that case think of it as putting a chevy motor into a ford. Can it be done ? For sure. Should it be ? Will it ever run as well as an original motor ? Same would apply the other way around. Some one close by me has a Zeiss that runs DMIS. They have all kinds of issues. Can it end up working flawless for you ? Sure. Will it ?
