  • I dunno, I'm kind of taking it as a lesson in humility.
I agree with , in the regard that individuals have become too sensitive for their own good. People become so bloated with their own sense of self worth that it takes a toll on those around them.

For example, I was dealing with a customer where their Quality manager was of similar description (I don't know either of you, so I'm not going to bash).
He was the type of Q-Tech that would measure a part, and no matter how it was measured he was right, until you had so much evidence and wasted time and inspection that it would have been easier to remake a couple thousand parts. (For example, a hole with ± .005 loc tolerance was rejected for being .0006 out of tolerance, and the engineers have an internal .010" tolerance on that location. But he measured it past .005, so it had to be out).

    This particular mentality is cancer.
If the part is bad, it's bad, that's the way it is. But if it's "technically" bad, but in reality (fit form & function) it's good enough then accept it.

Personally, sure, it was harsh, but what do you expect?
It's a forum. We are not here to be professional. We are here to post about CMM's and PC-DMIS. Some of us are here to learn, some to fortify their knowledge, some because they used to do that and now just float around for posterity.

The point is, who the **** cares?

This is the internet. You can't expect everyone to like you. If someone is being disrespectful on the internet, and you are legitimately taking offense to it, that's a whole seperate issue.

I heard a quote, I tend to like.
If you go through the day, and some guy is an a-hole, well, he's an ***.
But if you go through the day and everybody is an a-hole, well, you're an *******.

EDIT: I'm not hear to take sides. I don't care about the tiff, I don't care who was right or who was wrong. But everyone's bashing the guy for being disrespectful, standing up for UKCMM while being unable to take either side due to an inherent lack of information, e.g. the entire other side.
I really just get bored and thought it would make my day.

    EDIT 2: It has
  • he was the kid picked last in gym class so he had to go and tell the principle how it made him feel =(
