I'm reviewing a thread RING gage cert. It's a split ring that you can adjust, usually to a master plug.
This cert from 2016 is from a company I'm not familiar with, I'm familiar with most. I wasn't working here at the time.

They stated that the minor dia and pitch dia were both out of tolerance on the GO gage upon receipt, over size.
They adjusted it to a master plug.
They say they moved the minor diameter -.0012 and the pitch dia -.0007.
What? Looking at it right here.

As received;
Minor: .8260
PD: .8420

As left;
Minor: .8248 (-.0012)
PD: .8413 (-.0007)

Correct me if I'm wrong. As the ring is tightened (as would be in this case since the ring was OS), the PD would move to about a 4-1 ratio (30° PA) to the minor dia. This seems impossible to me.
Any thread guys out there that can straighten me out?
