i have a Sheffield Discovery, MCR20 stylus tree. When it picks up certain tips, the slot stays open. It just started doing it recently and I don't know why. It only does it on tips 8 and 9. I haven't changed anything. Any thoughts?
You should be able to adequately clean it with out removing it from the machine but if it is extremely dirty, removal, cleaning, reinstallation, recalibration may be required. In all honesty, an inspection room should be kept clean enough that it should never be an issue.
Looking at the pic, it does look like it has been used a lot. Take a look at it and see what's up.
