So they delete the thread but not the flags? Is this the governor of New York or Illinois?

I don't understand what is happening, I am sitting at 29 flags right now...

KIRBSTER269 and ThePudds seem to be going for a new high score. 29 down 171 to go. They could make it. If they each do 2 flags a minute (have to wait 30 seconds between flags) they could be there in 22 minutes... If i did my math correct.
