What would you do after CMM programming?

Like the title says... what would you do, realistically? With the skills learned where could you transfer them into? Attorney-at-law? Asking for a friend Wink

Update: forgot to mention... part of being realistic would be to actually make a living wage of equal or better than where you are now. Like a circus groundskeeper for example.

  • Well, I actually work in estimating for the last 3 years..... I do help out from time to time on CMM depending on workload. Working with parts / prints / inspection / GD&T / and all those aspects for 15 years helps me with all those other issues with Buyers and engineers. Your not BS'sing me on a print or any other requirements. I also am keenly aware of what we are capable of as a company and sales isnt swaying me. Been there and done that. I know all the angles. Working with customers on porint development upfront. You probably " wouldn't " be surprised how many engineers are willing to change prints and such when you explain how the intern who made the print made it cost 2x as it should be or stright up made it unmanufacturable......
