What would you do after CMM programming?

Like the title says... what would you do, realistically? With the skills learned where could you transfer them into? Attorney-at-law? Asking for a friend Wink

Update: forgot to mention... part of being realistic would be to actually make a living wage of equal or better than where you are now. Like a circus groundskeeper for example.

  • I actually just bought a 3D printer like a week ago. I got an Ender 3 V2. Its not the most expensive printer in the world (like $250) but so far I am very impressed and I have been running that thing around the clock!

I am in college right now so I hope after finishing my degree in 2 years I will move in to an engineering position and that should be the end of my CMM Programming career. (Man that is a scary realization)
I don't have a problem CMM Programming. It is actually something I really enjoy and would enjoy for years to come. I just don't see myself in 10 years being excited about CMM programming for another 10 years. I am pretty young in my professional life and don't want to do this for another 30+ years (If it even still exists then)
  • Thanks for your input I'm glad you chose a career in engineering, wish the best for you and don't forget to play hard after working hard. I own a Delta printer, Kossel mini to be exact, Enders are good for their price.
