Bored of programming

I have been in programming for about 6 years and feel like I am a bored of it right now.
I don't want to leave the field because of money and I do enjoy the work.

Do any of y'all ever feel bored of programming? What do you do to overcome the slump?

  • Time to step into the dark side! You mentioned the operator input stuff... very simple and boring right? Automate it with VB.NET or better yet C#, you will have 60 days to complete this challenge and as your reward you'll get to pick any item from https://www.keeps.com/our-offering. Good luck!

LOL I gave up on my hair back in march. Best decision I ever made!

I have programmed a little in C but I am pretty rusty. I don't know C# at all.
  • VB.NET is easy and closely related to the material in PcDmis but outside it's very unpopular. C# and/or Java is all over the interwebz... examples for days! C++ is my fav but it does terrible in OLE automation (what programming in PCD is mostly what is involved). I would consider C to be harder than C# syntactically but at the end of the day it's the understanding of how a program/system works. The syntax is the tool (tools are very important). You already have a leg up with C experience... what are you waiting for?
