What does everyone like to do outside of their workplace? We'll open it up to things you would like to start as well....
For me:
- Playing guitar / bass/ drums: I do volunteer at my church on a regular basis. I have been playing bass for 20 years, guitar for 14 years, and drums for 1.5 years.
- Recording / Composing music: I used to do this a lot about 10 years ago, but still dabble from time to time.
- I have always enjoyed architecture and design as well. It has been a while since I have done anything like that, but it's peaking my interest again.
- Future Endeavors: Videography, Animations & 3D renderings
A-machine-insp I really am digging my diesel truck also. Never really knew much about them till I drove the one I have. impressive! 27 MPG on the highway doing 70.
ogcharliebrown Yeah... mine doesn't get that good of mileage. It's lifted with 33s, built trans... I mean built gender neutral power transmission device (got to be PC these days), cold air intake, 4" straight pipe, and a tuned for 210 extra HP. Its a beast but only gets 16 MPG. Probably would do better if I lifted my foot off the gas just a little...
A-machine-insp Gender neutral.....Bahhaha!! Ya mine is pretty much stock 5.9 6 banger. I like when you get a sports car next to you and the 2 lane turns to 1! Wow what fun that is! Haha
ogcharliebrown Yep! I have a 2006 ram with the 5.9! People are constantly surprised by how fast they accelerate... If they can see through the black smoke!
A-machine-insp Mine is a 06 also longbed. There will be black smoke!!! It's like taking a couch to town, Plenty of room. Use to have a F-150 good truck but what a difference!
I just bought a 2015 Ram 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi (std cab w/8' bed) and I am amazed at the power it has! Bought it to haul the GoldWing and pull the camper when we go camping.
What I do when not working at work is work (physical labor LOL) at home.
I love to deer hunt (bow, handgun, rifle)
I enjoy target shooting and teaching the grandkids how to shoot
I enjoy riding my GoldWing (aka road sofa)
We just started camping again and I like to camp taking 3 day weekends at state parks
I used to like fishing and as retirement gets closer may start again.
I enjoy cutting wood even though it is a necessity as we heat with wood
dwade I bought mine mid last year cause I wanted to pull my 6x12 enclosed trailer to the track easier than the Durango I had. I can not get 15MPG doing 75 with the trailer instead of 9MPG doing 65. That being said, plans changed when I bought out one of the owners of the tire business so now I'll be pulling a 8x28 enclosed at 15-18k LBS. So glad I bought the diesel.
