I'm a little worried. It seems like there have been a lot of good people leaving the company lately. It's such a bummer because we were already running a little lean on staff, but managing to keep up. A few weeks ago we lost our quality manager. Frankly, I'm not so bummed about that - I wasn't too fond of him. However, it was a real hit last week when one of our best quality engineers left. Today it is the tool crib manager - certainly someone who will be missed. I suspect she does far more than anyone knows to keep things running smoothly.
I'm just hoping it doesn't get much worse. I have been pretty happy with my job lately. Sure, there is a whole lot of room for improvement, but things have been trending in the right direction for a while now. I'd hate for things to take a turn. I got my fingers crossed that this is just a bump in the road.
That is how it is here at my current company.
I gave my notification in the other week and 4 days later the other Quality Engineer put his notification in. It's hard enough to find programmers and QEs in this market. Sounds like the other QE might be leaving soon as well. This might spiral into the whole QA department leaving. We are a well-knit group, so with the two of us leaving might create a domino effect...
From the outside looking in, I would have thought your current company was a well oiled machine.
6,935 more days for me.
How are you holding up Lil Squatch? Enjoying your new found peace and quiet at work?
