Can HP-S-S1C Styplus Module with Starholder be Repaired

Good Morning, The operator loaded the wrong program and my star probe broke. Is looks like the 4 way portion of the star probe is either glued or press fit or both. It rotates freely around the shaft like a key chain now. The set screw is secure, the shaft doesn't rotate, the 4 way came loose.

  • Can you take the shaft out completely?
    Maybe take the shaft out and super glue the shaft and the star section back together?

    I hate using super glue at all but I have done it before.
    We have had one of the little ball bearing feet fall out one of our HP-S-X1C/H plates and I just took the tip of an old indicator styli that was the same diameter and super glued it in there. Still works great!
