Freedom/uh-oh

America-->

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th of July! We lit off some fireworks, had some good food, and went for a nice hike along the beach with the dog. Hopefully you all got to enjoy yourselves outside! Thanks to all of the veterans!

Masks At Work-->
We got to take our masks off at work today! We have been wearing them for 15 months...everyone is very happy. I have co-workers who I feel like I just met for the first time today because I have legit never seen their faces before until now. Are you all still wearing masks?

Personal-->
I was stubborn, non-understanding, AND judgmental (the big three) regarding something I didn't realize was important and I REALLY ticked off my girl. It was a dumb argument and I'm really embarrassed. She isn't "gone" but I have some major ground to make up for. Wish me luck! Today is a new day. All you have control over is now. The past is done (can't go back) but the future is yet to be. This weekend I learned a lot about communication as well as life. I hope everyone's home life was smoother than mine!
Parents
  • , They lifted the mask thing for us recently too. It IS odd to see some faces for the first time. I can be kinda slow to recall someone's name when greeting them. Having their faces change drastically doesn't make it easier.

    Sorry to hear that you got some personal drama out of the weekend. That does not make for a very restful weekend. Give it time. Hopefully that will heal over fast.

    My 4th was great. Lots of fun and food all weekend long. People really went crazy with the fireworks in my neighborhood this year! All three nights people were blasting them off constantly. Some were still going at 3am. I have no idea how some people can afford so many of them, they must get better deals than me. Saturday Night a fella had his face blown off when a mortar didn't go off and he decided to look down the tube... not good... dumb! It even made it on TV news. Somehow I slept through all the commotion. There hasn't been any more news on that, so I guess he's still alive. At any rate, no one was phased as Sunday night everyone doubled down on blasting off more.
