Hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th of July! We lit off some fireworks, had some good food, and went for a nice hike along the beach with the dog. Hopefully you all got to enjoy yourselves outside! Thanks to all of the veterans!


Masks At Work-->
We got to take our masks off at work today! We have been wearing them for 15 months...everyone is very happy. I have co-workers who I feel like I just met for the first time today because I have legit never seen their faces before until now. Are you all still wearing masks?

Personal-->
I was stubborn, non-understanding, AND judgmental (the big three) regarding something I didn't realize was important and I REALLY ticked off my girl. It was a dumb argument and I'm really embarrassed. She isn't "gone" but I have some major ground to make up for. Wish me luck! Today is a new day. All you have control over is now. The past is done (can't go back) but the future is yet to be. This weekend I learned a lot about communication as well as life. I hope everyone's home life was smoother than mine!


  • Come to Southeastern Michigan. They have firework tents and stores set up everywhere weeks prior. Most are "buy 1 get 4 free" , "buy a large bundle and get a small bundle free", and/or "for every $X.XX you buy, get $X.XX free". You walk in with $100.00 and walk out with enough explosives to get you on the ATF's watch list.

    same thing as CT! every gas station has fireworks next to the register. i spent $60 and had a blast (pun intended)

  • I'm on vacation. Decided to hop on the off topic for a bit.

    Saturday was my birthday, I turned 36. Enjoyed lunch with my wife and grilled out.

    The 4th was great. Walked along the lakeshore of Lake Michigan for a couple hours with my wife and kids. Made ribs. Went to the firework show. Then lit off more at home.

    Yesterday, my wife and I went up north for a few days, as our 14 year anniversary is tomorrow (yes, I married young!) On our way, we stopped at Guitar Center and I think I'm going to order a new guitar.

    I'm off all week so I'm happy about that. This upcoming weekend my dad and I are going to my cousin's wedding in Ohio. I haven't seen him in like 23 years.

  • We had a wedding to go to Saturday night, who gets married on 4th of July weekend? It was fun, happy to see some old co-workers.
    Sunday I did a practice Triathlon, the real one is July 25th! Getting a little nerves about the swim, I'm good with the bike and run. It's just a sprint triathlon, so 400 yard swim, 15m bike ride, and 3m run. Been struggling with injuries, so training has been a challenge.
    Yesterday we got a nice long motorcycle ride in, before it got too hot.

    Masks, so glad they are gone at work and mostly everywhere else. Work lifted their mandate about a month ago.

    Relationships......well lets put it this way, I'm on my 3rd marriage! Not my strong suit!

  • Spent the weekend in Texas looking at neighborhoods that my family and I will soon be moving to. I like Kyle and Buda. Downtown was cool too but just for a quick visit!
  • I spent the weekend moving into the house I bought last year. That I have been gutting and remodeling since October. Spent some time with friends, and family. went to the towns parade. Made some BBQ Sunday at the park. And then got to shoot off fireworks with my son, his favorite are the smoke bombs he likes to chase the smoke. Hopefully when he is 2 he will like the artillery shells more but its one step at a time! He was happy and that's all that matters.
