I've done it. and you can too.
If you use chrome you can force every webpage to dark mode. Its a experiment and not everything translates over. (for example the filter drop down on this forum. The text doesn't appear but is still selectable.) But to do so you just go to chrome://flags/ search "dark mode" and enable. It is much easier on the eyes.
I bookmarked the link so that if i do come across something that doesn't load correctly I can revert back.
