I don't have a copy of my ASME Book. Can anybody provide me a snippet that flatness required is in the free state by default?
Y14.5_7.20 It might be desirable to restrain your part. But you can't do it unless you have specific instruction from whomever controls the design. Therefore, if your part is to be evaluated per Y14.5 and you don't have such an instruction, you must measure it in free state. That's the info I needed, as always, thanks Danny Boy.
