Vaccine Conversation Today

Was in a production meeting waiting for it to start. People were talking about random things and of course "Covid" gets brought up. (please realize the irony that I am in a closed & unventilated room with these people..because they were willing to share their vaccine status they get to be maskless...because i refuse to share my status they assume i am not vaccinated and therefore force me to wear a mask).

Production Assistant: "Hey, did you all notice how its literally ONLY the engineers and programmers who don't want to get vaccinated? Why is that?"

Machinist: "They have critical thinking skills. Most of the people here (motioning to the room) do what they're told at work and in life".

Room went dead silent, a few people chuckled, am starting to get really turned off by people. =/ Was very uncomfortable sitting there as a "second class" employee with a mask on.

    I wouldn't last 2 minutes in there. They would boot me out or fire me, Which would work in your favor Dan. Take your Mask off and let them fire you. collect unemployment till you get a new job. I know what your thinking, "I don't know how to adapt to being unemployed" You wouldn't be for very long, someone will snag you up. You're to good at what you do for someone not to want you. If you had to wait for me to address your worth. That's pathetic on your part, and for you to have self pity on yourself and your situation, then I clearly gave you to much credit. Get out of that little fenced in area, little lamb, that environment of sheep that you're in is contaminated it's time to find a greener pasture.

  • 2 week notice is typed, ready to be delivered. i do not want to leave.

    however, i had two companies reach out to me and i am going to hear what they have to say.

    I have two separate interviews scheduled for this week.

    I remember one job, I walked in to the inspection room, and said " I Quit" Supervisor said "you're not even going to give a 2 weeks notice?" I said "You know what, that's fair, you deserve one...............For the next 2 weeks, you'll notice I'm not here"
  • I was informed yesterday that I am not aloud to have my one year old son in the hospital at all while my wife has our second baby next week. And there are no exceptions. Now I have to have other family members take off work to watch my son while I go up to be there. So basically if I had nobody available I would not be able to be there. I think it is ridiculous. I don't see the issue with having an infant in a Hospital room for a few hours a day. It's not like he is going to be going in and checking up on other patients.

    Dang dude! Sorry to hear that! This is getting out of hand. Creating more panic and more stress....

    Here, we have the "health pass", a digital code that proves that you're vaccinated or negative test.
    In some big shopping centers, they installed vaccin centers.
    In the same big shopping centers, you can go in only with the health pass...
    So, if you want to be vaccinated, you have to be already vaccinated Slight smile !

    We have here an expression that says : " we are walking on the head" ...

    Lou: ‘Why not?’

    Lou: ‘But they’re vaccinated.’
    Bud: ‘But they can still get sick.’
    Lou: ‘So what the heck does the vaccine do?’
    Bud: ‘It vaccinates.’
    Lou: ‘So vaccinated people can’t spread covid?’
    Bud: ‘Oh no. They can spread covid just as easily as an unvaccinated person.’
    Lou: ‘I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore. Look. I’m not sick.
    Bud: ‘Ok.’
    Lou: ‘And the guy you let in IS sick.’
    Bud: ‘That’s right.’
    Lou: ‘And everybody in there can still get sick even though they’re vaccinated.’
    Bud: ‘Certainly.’
    Lou: ‘So why can’t I go in again?’
    Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’
    Lou: ‘I’m not asking who’s vaccinated or not!’
    Bud: ‘I’m just telling you how it is.’
    Lou: ‘Nevermind. I’ll just put on my mask.’
    Bud: ‘That’s fine.’
    Lou: ‘Now I can go in?’
    Bud: ‘Absolutely not?’
    Lou: ‘But I have a mask!’
    Bud: ‘Doesn’t matter.’
    Lou: ‘I was able to come in here yesterday with a mask.’
    Bud: ‘I know.’
    Lou: So why can’t I come in here today with a mask? ….If you say ‘because I’m unvaccinated’ again, I’ll break your arm.’
    Bud: ‘Take it easy buddy.’
    Lou: ‘So the mask is no good anymore.’
    Bud: ‘No, it’s still good.’
    Lou: ‘But I can’t come in?’
    Bud: ‘Correct.’
    Lou: ‘Why not?’
    Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’
    Lou: ‘But the mask prevents the germs from getting out.’
    Bud: ‘Yes, but people can still catch your germs.’
    Lou: ‘But they’re all vaccinated.’
    Bud: ‘Yes, but they can still get sick.’
    Lou: ‘But I’m not sick!!’
    Bud: ‘You can still get them sick.’
    Lou: ‘So then masks don’t work!’
    Bud: ‘Masks work quite well.’
    Lou: ‘So how in the heck can I get vaccinated people sick if I’m not sick and masks work?’
    Bud: ‘Third base.’”

    That is no joke, it seems like everyone who is trying to keep life on track is being treated like the bad guy's. There is no middle ground with them, it is there way or no way. I agree it is getting way out of hand.

    i'm not afraid of being unemployed.

    my work is playing a game. they are trying to make us uncomfortable & get the unworthy ones to leave.

    jokes on them. working here literally IS my unemployment. i use this opportunity to read, work out, learn more about gd&t, help others on this forum, and job hunt. am happy to take their very easy money.

    note:
    while i am here, i give them a solid 8 hrs work that i feel good about. that said they have lost my respect..above & beyond time is far gone.. it is time to go when the correct situation presents itself


  • That is no joke, it seems like everyone who is trying to keep life on track is being treated like the bad guy's. There is no middle ground with them, it is there way or no way. I agree it is getting way out of hand.

    This whole thing has been taken over by the democrats and has been made purely political. They used Ferguson to try and divide the country racially and, now that that's blown over for the most part, they are trying to use the virus to divide us. Mask vs no mask, vaccine vs non vaccinated, and some establishments and states requiring a card showing you are vaccinated or a negative test result. It reminds me a lot of a certain German political party from the 1930's and 1940's.

    I am honestly so fed up with all this BS right now, I really just want to move to a cabin up in the mountains where I can be completely self sufficient and never have to deal with another human ever again. Ok, maybe electricity and internet so I can get on here still. I can deal with most of you. Rolling eyes
