Duel

If all living things (animals, bugs, spiders whatever) were the same size, what would win in a fight?
Parents
  • Mantis Shrimp. 8 inches in length.

At its tiny size right now it can punch as fast as a .22 caliber bullet and create compression bubbles underwater that cause tiny explosions. They take out prey much larger than themselves and when contained they must be placed within bullet proof glass. If everything were scaled to the size of lets say elephants.... could you imagine the force behind the punches of a mantis shrimp. It would cause mini nuclear blasts with each punch wiping out anything in the near vicinity.

If an elephant is 16' 6" in length. and we scaled the size of a mantis shrimp to that it would be 24.75 times larger. if we could apply the same scaling factor to the speed of its 1070 ft per second punch it would punch at 17,727 miles per hour. or Mach 23. Decimating everything.

(please note that all math and calculations are approximates and may not be exact.)
