That time of the year again....

Well, this past weekend was opening day of archery season for deer in Michigan. Is anyone else on here a hunter?
  • I've been fortunate and am able to hunt on what is left of the family farm, we have 34 (used to be 173) acres and it is either wildlife habitat that my late wife and I planted or woods. The wildlife habitat is mostly warm season grasses with trees planted around the outside of the field and 3 food plots primarily for deer and pheasant. I love to bow hunt and this year I might get some time in if life slows down a bit. I'll definitely hunt during firearms season with either handgun (Dan Wesson .44 mag), muzzleloader (will be my first time) or my .243.

I don't eat meat and know several families that can use the meat in their freezer or I will donate the meat to one or two of the local food banks.
