  • So I went to my Doctor yesterday, routine checkup, and I questioned him on the Hydroxychloroquine, He told me that it is very accessible and he could write me up a script if needed and it was very good at fighting Covid. The reason why the politicians, dog it, or shame it, or whatever you want to call it. Is simply it's an old drug that's been around and proven and you can't make any money off of it. He also asked if I got the shot, I of course said no, and as a doctor I trust, he said from what he could gather the shot was worth it, but he said I know you, you don't like to take things unless it's necessary, but if that time ever comes, give me a call and I'll get you the Hydro or their was something else he said that he was keeping a close eye on. I guess I'm lucky, my doctor won't prescribe me medicine unless he thinks it's really necessary. Just an update on what I thought at first was impossible to get.

I remember seeing an article a few months ago where they explained part of the reason why these other drugs are getting bad PR. The article said that, if there are reliable therapeutics and/or alternative treatments, it is more difficult to get something like a vaccine approved and/or keep it on an emergency authorization status. I have no idea of the validity of this, I don't even want to look into what makes the FDA tick, but it does make sense. If they want to save the world with their miracle vaccine, there cannot be anything else that works.
