Federal Legalization of Cannabis

Republican Lawmakers filed a bill to tax and regulate Cannabis as an alternative to the Democratic Proposals. This would remove its schedule 1 status and make it legal federally. Fingers Crossed. It's long past overdue. What do y'all think?

  • I think that legalizing cannabis will hurt the cartel. Maybe this is just a Texas/Southern perspective but the cartel needs to be stopped and the border need help and I think legalizing cannabis could help.

IDK I am not really well versed in this but I know it is a big problem.

Wow. Honestly never really thought about that aspect of it. 100% though. It also could have the opposite adverse effect. The void left by the MJ could be filled by harder drugs due to the decrease in $$ made by the cartel.

All of my motives for legalizing it are mainly selfish. I just want something to help me sleep, relieve my anxiety, combat my aches and pains from the military that doesn't require a prescription and wont leave me with a hangover the next day.

Its also a hell of a parental enhancer. I become a much more engaging father when I do. I am able to sit down with my kids and play with barbies or spiderman toys and not feel the constant need to pull away and take care of other stuff. I am also much more patient with them when it comes to just the day to day. But because of current employment I've had to break off my relationship with my dearest green.
