Twitter

Anyone see the news about Elon Musk offering to buy Twitter??? I want to see it happen! He has the board by the... you know... the thing(s) Rolling eyes. He already owns 10% and turned down a board position. If they accept the offer, all stockholders get cashed out at $54.20 a share. If they reject, Elon sells all of his shares along with a lot of retail traders and the stock tanks. This is getting interesting. This is what I call "reality television".

Oh, and the comments from the left are hilarious!!!Sunglasses

  • Problem is he already signed on that he would buy Twitter and if he back out he would have to pay roughly a billion dollars for breaking the terms of the agreement. He only started making excuses as to not buying when the share prices of tesla started dropping in May/June.

It already looking like its going to court and the sale will ethier be forced through or he will have to pay the penalty fee.

The issue has been that Twitter has not been transparent about the number of fake/bot accounts. They are insisting that it is around 5% but will not show the data proving it. Musk and his investors, without access to Twitter algorithms, are coming up with a number closer to 25% or more. If that is true, and the Twitter people know about it, that would be a serious misrepresentation to Musk and the Twitter shareholders. That is why the SEC is following this. If it is drastically higher than 5%, Twitter might settle for a lower price just to keep that quiet.
