GOM Inspect

Hey all....I miss programming and reverse engineering issues on the CMM and parts made at the tech school, but now I'm getting paid to run 2 CMM's and a CT on the weekends. The CT utilizes 'GOM Inspect 'to analyze the meshes it produces. GOM has a free version that has almost no limitations. I've spent over 100 hours learning the GOM Inspect software now and if anyone that needs a level up lesson coming from PCDMIS send me a DM. I'm still rather green, but I can help you avoid the brain damage of how it differs from the CMM and it's basic functionality. Any other GOM users here???

  • Congratulations on getting work at a place with fancy equipment like a CT scanner. It's fun to learn new software/equipment and get paid for it! Wink

Nothing fancy for me. Still just working in the world of touch sensors. It's a living.
  • Thanks whisperer Wink I didn't know what to think getting into a lathe prominent shop as I much prefer mills myself, but having the CT and learning a new skillset on the GOM software is cool. I operate 2 CMM's with pcdmis so I'm still seeing code....it is funny because I always used summary mode and I only stare at command mode now. I like command mode better, but I'd used both I think if I was programming.
