There was another PC-DMIS forum before this one that was not ran by Hexagon. When Hexagon started their climb to become "THE" name in metrology it was shutdown because it contained the word "PC-DMIS".... Lost a lot of good information was lost when that happened. Some of the other "old time" programmers may chime in on also and correct this or add to this.

Hard to believe its been that long. Just logged on after a 10 year sabbatical- great to see some folks I remember still here from the "good old days"... Remember CMMtalk.com? That was like one of the 1st ones I can remember...
Can't even remember dwade. I recognize the name, but years have blurred together Kp61dude! I spent the last 15 years in Medical device from a leadership standpoint. Still worked with CMM's, very little actual programming (grew the CMM group from 3 machines to 15 at the last place) and mostly mentored and helped grow new programmers. Lots of time investigating new and emerging technologies and working on FDA compliance stuff. Too much travel back and forth to Memphis & Was ready to step back from leadership for a while as I got pretty burned out. Found a great company in an industry I always have wanted to work in- and some great Metrology folks to boot! It's funny looking back now. I can proudly say I have the oldest GDTP cert in the state of Alabama - so I guess that gives me some street cred Maybe not. I have a lot of catching up to do in regards to the software changes, and the wild info that exact measure gives. I'm old school and like the legacy dimensioning mostly- and ensure the basics match the DWG. now i'm rambling ...
