- PURPOSE: Perform dimensional inspection and layouts of parts/product to ensure conformance to specification and customer satisfaction. Provide Leadership and planning for laboratory related activities.
- RESPONSIBILITY:
B. Perform annual layouts of control features per customer requirements.
C. Provide quality support for production teams.
D. Collect data for PPAPs, Gage R & R., and capability studies.
E. Train and certify employees on lab equipment.
F. Handle customer contact in a professional manner.
G. Actively participate in and support the implementation and maintenance of the company's documented quality system as appropriate.
H. Ability to write average complexity CMM (preferably PCDMIS) and Vision System programs.
I. Write Instructions (Protocols) for running programs, and train Quality Leads on instructions
J. Perform additional duties as necessary that contribute to the overall efficiency of the company.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS
- Two years experience in the quality related field with working knowledge of SPC.
- Two years experience with layout inspection & CMM programming.
- Subject Matter expert on GD & T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.)
- Proficient with manual gauging and surface plate manual layout techniques. Ability to develop average complexity fixturing/gages.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self directed and motivated with the ability to function well in a team environment.
- Blue print reading.
- Engaged in and/or graduate of Technical Training.
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
