Beer

Before anyone begins making allegations, the Beer thread was not deleted on purpose.

While cleaning up old off-topic threads I inadvertently missed excluding that one. As a way to make up for it, I've reinstated the rep points.

  • Nearest Giant Eagle to me (Berea) didn't carry Ommegang. So instead I picked up a six of Sierra Nevada Porter which was excellent and Shiner 98 Amber Lager. Click ENTER and then this years anniversary beer. It's unique. Great flavor, crisp. Theres definitely some flavor thats pronounced but I don't know exactly what it is...need more training!

Bummed about the Ommegang but I have an idea where I can find it close so next stop for sure.

I love that Shiner 98. I need to pick up more before it is all gone. I had a couple of the new Shiner Black Lagers last night. I think I prefer Shiner Bock. They were ok, but not nearly as good as the 98, Kolsch, HefeWeizen, & Dunkleweizen. Those 4 are real gems I can highly recommend.

I also need to plug St. Arnold's brewery again. They are located here in Houston and make a number of excellent beers, some seasonal. I think I sent Craig some of their Elisa IPA. I don't know if you can find them in the North/North East, but if you can, you won't be disappointed.
