Beer

Before anyone begins making allegations, the Beer thread was not deleted on purpose.

While cleaning up old off-topic threads I inadvertently missed excluding that one. As a way to make up for it, I've reinstated the rep points.

  • This is from The Ultimate Guide Book For Winking Lizard Tavern World Tour Of Beers 2005

Delerium Tremens was once banned in the United States because of its name. It was then marketed as Mateen, after an early Flemish brewer in America. It is 7.2 % ABV, golden in color, and has a light creamy head. Delerium has a big body, rich mouth feel, and a long sweet aftertaste. The beer is fermented in a two stage fermentation and bottle conditioning.

I remember that I liked it. The bottle is a ceramic coated bottle.
We all know why dark bottles are better than clear, so I won't explain why they did this.
  • Drinking one of the last of the homebrews from the last visit to the Brewkettle.
Pre-Prohibition Lager. I like it. Not one of my favorites, but good.
  • I was talking to Masters. You can meet him and all the other Dicks at the G@y Bar.

HOWZ COME NOBODY SHOWED UP ???
  • Best mexican food I've ever had, the joint was/is owned by an Iranian dude. Location/heritage doesn't matter. If you know how to cook, you know how to cook.

Best Mexican food I ever had was in Imperial Beach California. Stumbled on it while on a ride looping the Coronado Bay / Island from San Diego. Little Mom and Pop place became a regular and well worth the 40 mile round trip to get it. Mmmm.
My hat tips to Mexican owned for the best.

I love BW3 and I still call it that. The nearest one is in Portland Disappointed. I believe you can still order burgers on kimmelweck there. I order the sauces online and make my own wings, but I prefer to go there and play trivia.

BW3 is the BEST!! (around here anyway). In my town we have a knock off called Buffalo Wings and Rings. Their Atomic sauce is freakin HOT!! Almost too hot to eat. Great beer on tap (I usually get Dunkel - goes great with the wings and tenders). And yes they have they highly addictive trivia game!!

Craig, if the wings in upstate NY are better than this then I got to try them!! I got to say though, when I went to NYC I really wanted to try one of those famous street vendor dogs and when I did I was sorely disappointed. Give me a Junkyard Dawg anyday over that . . thing . . with the runny ketchup sauce and reconstituted onions.
  • If you want good dogs go to Coney Island or New Jearsey. I dare say that the vendors in NYC are hit and miss. To be honest I am not sure NYC has a food. The best food I have had there was all ethnic (Hatian, Puerto Rican, Chinese, Italian, Greek etc)
  • I also wanted to try some famous Brooklyn Pizza but the wife didn't want to spend any more time in NYC.
  • Want to make your own "Buffalo Style Wings"? Get a big jar of Frank's Red Hot Sauce. Put the wings in a large freezer bag. Pour in a few cups of the sauce and put in the fridge over night. Roll them in flour and deep fry.
No need for more sauce, they are excellent. I think the friend that gave me that got it from Emeril. Might be on his website.
She used to make these out at the campground. And homemade potato chips that were awesome. People would see the deep fryer out on the picnic table in front of her camper and come over to get some.
Great Lakes Eliot Ness Vienna Lager goes really well with those wings.

    I'm hungry now.
