Beer

Before anyone begins making allegations, the Beer thread was not deleted on purpose.

While cleaning up old off-topic threads I inadvertently missed excluding that one. As a way to make up for it, I've reinstated the rep points.

  • They would have to update it each time i would think.. that would get old for them

    Bummer...but understandable.

I guess we'll all need to note the page of the excel file when posted and just go back to it to get an updated list.
  • Craigs idea would work if wes is up to the task
  • No offense, but I don't think I want to nor should be responsible for a beer recommendation list, especial since my first love is WHISKEY ! ! !

However I think the best approach to this would be to start a new Beer review/recommendation thread, and hopefully people would only post review/recommendations there and leave other beer talk for this thread. Then no one would have to do any updating, nor would anyone have to try to cull the germ from the chaff.
  • I would vote aginst the creation of another thread. I think a central (single post) location would be the most user friendly.

Ditto. Wes is just being a baby.

Dave was fourth, and it was his idea...
  • We could have the excel spreadsheet hosted somewhere else, just let everyone have access to it.

  • Wes posted second in this thread. He could edit his post to reflect recomendations that way it would be at the beginning.

He could make regular edits as recomendations come in to keep it up to date.

We'd need to hash out a format. Favorites by user first or by style then user?

Well Craig, you have the 3rd post in this thread and if it really requires the #2 spot I will delete my post and then you can do this. I will give my full support by offering up my reviews and recommendations, but I am not going to commit to undertaking the ongoing task of updating my post. Sorry.

    Hmmmm. Wheat related comment. Heffewiezen....
  • PM me your beer favorites and any description you'd like included. I'll maintain it in the third post. There is no need for an external file.
  • Wes,

As a novice, is it the hops I'm tasting in the Shiner 98? Very good and like I said, unique.

I think it is the hops Dave, but I am not an expert in these matter either. I think I have figured out, (with Mr. Queenston's help), that I prefer very hoppy dark beers. I also like some whites and heffeweizens which I do not think are hoppy but are crisp for some other reason. Could an authority jump in here help please? Or is Craig not speaking to me now. LOL
