Does anyone else completely shutdown their machines during severe thunderstorms ? My boss always has us shutdown all the CMMS. I think it's overkill but it gives me time to sit outside and watch the lightning and rain . Just wondering if anyone else does this .

On a side-note, one of my relatives was struck by lightening, while inside a building in Indianapolis. The lightening rod had corroded all the way through, so the juice jumped through him to continue its path to ground. Melted all his fillings, but he lived.
