Looks interesting on LinkedIn. Bit far of a drive though.
Damn right, the commute will be a b!tch
Yeah, I can't imagine how your daily commute to work from where you live would be. You'd be late to work every day!
...already am to my current work, so no improvement there!
I'm 15 -20 minutes late almost every day where I work. It actually surprises my boss when I show up on time. Luckily the boss is cool and could care less as long as I'm showing up every day and taking care of business.
To me you have the best boss you could ask for, you are very fortunate. I wish my company was as lax about this as yours is. It would nurture a far better work environment and reduce overall mental stress. Keep at it dude.
I used to work for a company that worked on an attendance point system. If you are late even a minute you would lose half a point. You had to clock out if you left the building for lunch, so you could be late twice in the same day if you also returned late from lunch. Lose 6 points and it was a 1-day suspension. Lose 9 points and get a 3-day suspension. Lose 12 points within a year and lose your job.
Where I work now there are no such rules. Man does it ever make a difference in my stress levels. Really, it isn't unreasonable to expect people to be punctual, but I never want to go back to working for a company that is so strict about it.
