PC-DMIS to Excel

I would like a couple of Guru's to sign up to take a look at an Excel Spreadsheet I created to import measurements from multiple parts into one Excel Spreadsheet. This app has been created for use only with PC-DMIS V4.0 and up. I have tested it in 4.0 and 4.1 with the following dims ...

Location, Distance, TP, Profile Surf, Profile Line, Concentricity
Circularity, Perpendicularity and Parallelism.

But it should work with any type of dimension. Basically I dissected the existing source code for the wizard and made it to suit my needs. Before I (or we) release it to the masses I would like a couple of people who would be willing to beta test it in their environments and maybe make some suggestions for improvements. The spreadsheet was written in Office 2003/VB6 although office apps do tend to be backward compatible if you have an older version of office.

Cheers!

  • Hello everyone. I thought it was time to update this thread I started back in May 2006. We are not on maintenance right now. The version we are working with is PC-DMIS V4.3. There is no special code you need to put into your PC-DMIS program. All you need to do is open the spreadsheet, save a copy of it with a name related to the job you are working on, and click on the button that says Run and Import. The spreadsheet will run your active program and bring all the results into the spreadsheet. It probably will not work in versions newer than V4.3. If you send me a PM with your e-mail address I will send you the spreadsheet in a zip file. You must have MS office installed on your PC. Note: Some firewalls will block the e-mail because the spreadsheet contains macros even though it is in a zip file.

    Cheers!
