Tracefield date added to report header?

Is there a way to put a tracefield in to update the REV Number report header without having to change the label template?

I.E -> Tracefield at start for a PO Number that is auto entered in the Report template.

No, you can't change the templates without changing the templates. What's your problem with changing the label template - write permissions? Talk to your boss, if you can't do your job because of restrictions they need to be revised.
