I use increments only when let's say I'm using avoidance moves for a hole like in situations like so. but I try to avoid using them also.

am writing a new program. am going to use only movepoints
Well like what I'm showing in the pic, on a move point, lets say I'm writing it offline, then I have to account for the X,Y, and Z. With the increment I only have to worry about the X or Y or Z instead of all of them. I'm a clearance plane kinda of guy but when I have to pick up a few holes on a different workplane, then I shut clearance plane of and use avoidance moves, but once in a great while there are these little obstacles like I show above that creates little problems, I have suggested different settings for avoidance moves in the past to Hexagon about having a before avoidance and an after avoidance where you can control the distance of each one. Just like JEFMAN 's rotary tool issue, I'm sure they are working on it.
