File I/O not reading txt file

Trying to use a txt file to store a variables values that I can pull out in the next execution and test for the days passed since.

For the love of my life I can't get Dmis to assign the text written in the file to a variable. Please advise.

The txt. contains the following (it has been written by dmis using File I/O write command, that works for some reason):

Reading back the same thing however doesn't work.

If someone has any advice on what I'm messing up in the code below, I would be eternally grateful.

CAL1 is just the pointer ID. FTPR was the default.

Thanks

Krisztian
