So that is what i did. Went to the machine. Took an alignment using the cad file. Did an offline alignment on my part....Still not working....What am i doing! I am probably forgetting something stupid so maybe this will help....

Stop doing that!
The part on the machine has no relationship to the part in CAD.
Do the entire part offline.

Go to the machine.
Just do this.... program all the stuff you want to check and ONLY the stuff you want to check (dimensions and all the rest). Then, when you get time/part/fixture/whatever and go to the CMM, simply ADD the alignment at the beginning of the program and there ya go! Make sure you have a copy of the program so when you click on "YES, UPDATE FEATURES TO NEW ALIGNMENT" and it screws up the entire program, you have a copy you can go back to. Of course, you SHOULD click on "NO, DO NOT UPDATE TO NEW ALIGNMENT", but even when you do, once in a while, Pcdmis will update ANYWAY, so keep a backup.
