Ruby Shank probe calibration



Hi All

Can someone tell me the best way to calibrate a shank probe as seen in the picture above

    I think what everyone is saying is, yes, you can qualify the shank portion as you described, but nowhere in PC-DMIS does it allow you to use that calibration information. The calibration of a shank only uses the hemispherical calibration data.



    And if you DO use the shank you have no idea of where it is relative to the hemisphere calibration data.
    (it will not be perfectly in line so the only head angle you can even attempt this exercise on is A0B0)
