Shut down, clean all the rails and restart.
+1 The scales are probably dirty. This happens at our shop all the time. We have 2 "ONE" machines and both behave exactly as you describe.
Just clean the scales. If it persists, you will have to call service and get them to walk you through resetting the voltage of the scale reader...(DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLEAN THE READER!)
That's an interesting note for the scales being dirty. This one time in band camp we had some dirty scales, the CMM slammed the Z rail into a 750 pound part fixture and slid it about 12 inches before stopping. This was due to contractors polishing the shop floor, the CMM didn't know where it was when all this took place, as stated from the service tech. I hope it is as simple as dirty scales for ya, but in our case no matter how many times we cleaned everything it never stopped until the tech changed out the card in our controller.
