Does anyone have a Leitz LSP-X3?

If so I was wondering where can I find more information of what the probe head can or can't do. Also what it can and can't use for stylus, extensions, etc.. I am new to the cmm world and I am building my tool box up this week thanks to my courteous owner and there are millions of different types of stylus and accessories that I don't know if I can or can't use. I am mainly doing rectangular and cylinder steel parts that are that are no longer than 6inches to 20inches in length. So there are pretty basic in size. Any information will help.

  • I have 3 LSPX3 fixed probing systems. Very accurate and repeatable, All are in a production environment. 2 of them are on 575 size machines and I like the compact design if you can live with star probe configurations. I don't like the fact that the changer doesn't have covers for the collets that are in the docks not being used.

I agree with the cover issues...I have a 7107 size machine and trying to get as much production as fast as I can out of it
