How do you turn a part upside down and maintain yur past alignments? Is there a way to stitch things together or do you have to run 2 separate programs? Can't find anything in the hel file on this.
Remember that gravity has an effect when flipping parts over.
It is possible that measuring the exact same features from the exact same datums will have different results when you flip a part over.
It all depends on the geometry and the weight.
We use this to our advantage at times.

When it comes to dimensioning a part with a flip in the program, how do you dimension a height from a plane before the flip and after. I have the part on a vblock sitting on a face that I cant get any hits on until I flip the part. Is there a way to assign a variable and create a generic point? Will that dimension be accurate
Or would it be best to elevate the part to get as many features as I can before flipping the part. I want to create a dimension from a plane before the flip to a plane after the flip. Looking for the most accurate and less time consuming way. There is a plane I cant get to when I set the part up on a vblock. If its better to make a fixture to reach that plane I will take the time to make one.
