Not quite...the software is written in metric & will program in metric...even if you select to write a program in imperial the background mathematics occur in metric.
Hence all my programs are in metric & then I call out results for imperial only when required.
If you go 10 decimal places, the error should be about.0002 µm.

The other day I started a new CMM program in inches using Camio studio.
So, I Calibrated the probe, imported the model, etc..and started by clicking the model for the alignments, when I looked at the print oh boy it's metric!
I thought I needed to start all over but I Just went into the dmis code called "program units" and toggled (In to mm) and viola!
Everything changed to mm including the model...why can't pcdmis do that?
