How do I figure out the t axis value using a calculator or simple excel formula? I want to confirm my results seperately. Example, x = .04mm y = -.97mm z = .29mm t = -1.01 I cannot figure this out.
Thanks.
Hi, I am trying to use the Cross function and Dot function to determine the perpendicular distance between the features, however, it does not work.
I have cyl1 and cyl2 with a distance of 5 between them in the X-axis. Then I do the following:
ASSIGN/V4=CROSS(CYL1.IJK,CYL2.IJK)
ASSIGN/V5=DOT(CYL1.XYZ-CYL2.XYZ,V4)
V4 becomes (0,0,1)
V5 becomes 0
cyl1.xyz = (5,5,0)
cyl2.xyz = (0,5,0)
What am I doing wrong??
