if i position my probe just above a bore, some where near central, then insert a read point, then origin to that read point in xyz. why cant i then use an auto circle to measure the bore by typing in the circle features as x=0 y=0 z=-3, i think the vectors are correct, it all looks good on the graphics but the probe just moves to the right at the same height, not at z=-3

Could be a variety of issues going on but without seeing some code it will be hard to determine.
