GD&T Help_Sanity Check

Can someone help me explain this GD&T on the right to my management?

A is a plane on top facing Z+, D is the inside diameter, C is the width at 12oclock. We're looking specifically at the composite portion of the DRF.

Thank you all

  • My management understands TP to be purely diametrical. They didn't understand that the lack of datums on the bottom means a 2-d tolerance unto itself.

They were expecting to see a +/- 0.0007 and for me to cut it down to +/- 0.0005 for a manufacturing tolerance.

I applied a +/- 0.0008 (to fall within the true +/-0.001) for the 2-D basic and that threw up a red flag with them.

Thanks all for the sanity check. You've confirmed my train of thought.
