Hello!
PC-DMIS 2013 MR1 SP5
----------------------------------
Is it possible to, say, print a report in black and white, but save it as a PDF in color?
The printer connected to the CMM desktop is only Black and White, but management wants the ability to save in color and print black and white.
I would just have them both in color, but the (bar graph?) is grey, and if it's not
all the way out the tolerance is grey, so they can't tell the position of the graph, they actually have to look at the numbers to tell if it's good. (right?)
Or we could just get a color printer...
---
I know I can change it to be one or the other using the Report Window Print options, but am I able to output one or the other in one or the other? Multiple print commands dont work, or change the color, and RWP options takes into account the whole program instead of an individual print command
What happens if you turn off background colors? I don't know what the option below that does, but maybe that's it. I personally wouldn't get a color printer if you don't really need it, wasted money on color cartridges.
It should already do this if your printer defaults are set correctly.
My printer automatically prints black and white reports because that is all it can do. However the pdf reports are always in colour including the bar graph.
Does the pdf appear in full colour in the report window?
So I went into the printing options, and I have the ability to "Print all Text as Black", which is selected, but it still processes the graph in color when Print in Black and White is not selected in Report Window Print Options. I'm guessing it's an old printer, LaserJet P1102w, which
only prints in black & white.

Same! But when I choose to print Black and White in the Report Window Print options, I get a Solid Black bar next to the features (using a slightly modified version of default.rtp) which I like, and I want this when I print in color, but green or red or what have you for a PDF.
Otherwise I get light grey, medium grey, and dark grey (:
How about just inserting another 'Print Command' and select the 'Report Output' to where ever you wan to save it. Then the next print command Select the out put options to Print Back and White only.
This is probably how I would do this.
My printer (HP Officejet Pro 8600) has in the printer preferences (many pop-ups down the line) the option to print in GRAYSCALE, thus printing only with the black ink.
