Yesterday my coworker was able to make the batch file work with a video file, though when he tried to code it to open VLC rather than the new default windows app, it failed and reverted to the default. Previous to that he was trying to make a video file place in the same BAS file we use for auto save-as at the end of the program. He couldn't get the basic script to open a video file, and neither of us could figure out why one could do it and the other couldn't. This is entirely based on his coding knowledge, as I neither know basic or batch script. Can someone please post an example script in each language?
