I am trying to Probe a line right down the center of my part where the hits come in from the appropriate angles. I could make it from individual points or a line, but I don't have scanning capabilities. I have attached some pictures that should help you understand what I am going for.

My main question is how to I put the points for a profile exactly on the centerline.
type in the "ZERO" value in the correct axis for the line you want either after clicking close to where you want the hit, or by typing in several values.
there are many ways to defur this feline.
If you have CAD++ you have scanning abilities, just not continuous contact scanning.
Open linear open scan, click the start point, the direction you want to go, and the end point. THEN, type in a common axis value for all scan line (so all 3 points have a Y0 value), then generate, turn on FIND NOMS. It will scan, but it will run like regular vector points (or like a sewing machine).

Ok, so I am in the Linear Open Scan edit window. I think I am able to follow all the sets except I can't seem to edit the points in the "Boundary Points" section.
Is there a different place I am supposed to edit these points?
Edit: Nevermind I found it. The trick was clicking on the far left # column.
nope, that is the place, simply DOUBLE CLICK on the number to the LEFT of the XYZ values (there should be a 1, 2, & 3, dbl-click on the 1). I you want a line of points along the Y axis, then type in the Y value you want, hit enter, it will automatically go to the (2) point, y axis, type in the same number, hit enter, and the (3) point opens, defaulted on the Y, type in the same number, hit enter. They are now in the straight line, now is when you generate the scan (NOT measure, NOT create, GENERATE). Then create it.
