Scanned Feature Will Not "Complete"

SP25M - B3C-LC - 2019 R2

Auto feature adaptive cylinder scan will not "complete"

It will complete when I "test" or when I execute the individual feature, but while running the entire program it will not complete and move onto the next step. IE, if I put a comment or incremental move immediately after the scanned auto feature, it will never get there.

Any suggestions? I'm lost, and new to analog scanning.

Thanks

  • I would second what Omar said- has this been resolved? I tried cycling the machine, no dice.

I'm fairly new to scanning on PCDMIS- coming into a new facility, I've found that a lot of our programs have all the correct theo's etc on autofeatures, but are not actually mapped to the cad(Cad is not selected/highlighted when you F9 the autofeature).

Any changes I make to a program causes these autofeatures using scans to exhibit this issue- will perform the scan, then pause as if there's a breakpoint. will run just the step, will test, will not continue program execution.

does selecting the cad feature on an autofeature using a scan affect anything? if so, is there a way to "re-select" this without losing all your presets? I would like to fix this without having to go through full programs and reset all feature/dimension parameters associated with those features if possible

I've been lurking the PCDMIS forum for years now, this issue was the kick I needed to finally make an account.

TIA for any info on autofeature scans.

  • Good morning, following up here...

So I found out that this is apparently a problem within 2019R1/R2, where if you set a breakpoint anywhere in the code, it will pause and not finish autofeatures using scan paths.

I read that on a thread, tried it with and without breakpoints and that seemed to be my problem. If anyone can confirm this issue or share whether or not it still exists in newer revisions, I'd be interested to know.

    Thanks
