Yesterday I started my computer opened my PC-DMIS 2020 R2 software for our CMM. Everything was fine until I tried to open a measurement routine.
I got the BLUE SCREEN and everything shut down. I have tried many things but it continues to crash every time I try to open a program.
Does anybody have any help??
I am having the same issue on two of four CMM's yesterday i was running the CMM and noticed that once a program was ran it was supposed to print out a report. thinking there was a problem with the printer, i went into FILE, Printer Set-up and changed the printer to a different printer. when i select print report i got a blue screen from windows and everything shut down. it went from just that error on one machine to, two machines that now every time i attempt to open any program it crashes and i get the same blue screen. this forum will not allow me to post a photo or video so i created a short youtube link for it

Yes, probably related to the Windows 10 printer update error (got hit by this as well). Uninstall the faulty MS updates - or update to more recent updates (should be fixed).
followed the link and it worked thank you for your assistance. I'm just confused on how that update occurred last month on the 15th and we just now are having an issue. We run these machines across two shifts everyday.
Perform a hard reset.
Run a hardware diagnostic test.
Disconnect external devices.
Boot into safe mode with networking.
Run the blue screen troubleshooter using SupportAssist.
Repair the missing or corrupted Windows system files.
Update the BIOS and drivers.
Restore the computer using Windows System Restore.
